On 23 Feb, 2012, Vietnam Urban and Industrial Zone Investment Development Corporation (IDICO-IDI) held a groundbreaking ceremony for construction of two intersections and installation of median strips onNational Highway1A from An Suong to An Lac.

Attending the ceremony were Deputy Minister of Construction - Bui Pham Khanh, Deputy Minister of Transport - Ngo Thinh Duc, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment - Chu Pham Ngoc Hien and representatives of People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh city, the departments and local leaders, the construction company, construction consultancy.

National Highway 1A An Suong - An Lac – the second belt road ofHo Chi Minh City to be renovated, upgraded and put into operation in 2005. Route linking trans-Asia highway and Highway 1A, forming a transportation corridor to relieve traffic pressure in centralHo Chi Minh City. 

However, due to the speed rapid urbanization, along the route there were many factories are built and the formation of densely populated areas, creating gaps in traffic and ensure traffic order and safety transportation on the route To overcome the situation, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh city has approved IDICO-IDI additional investment 2 overpass intersection of National Highway 1A with Provincial Route 10 and Provincial Route 10B, installation of median strips lanes motorcycles and cars.

The project includes 02 bridges (overpasses) at the intersection of Highway 1A with Provincial Highway 10 and Provincial Route 10B, design speed of 60-80km / h, length of 802.2 m is Provincial Highway 10 and Provincial Route 10B is 680m; Install new median strips to separate lanes of cars and motorcycles, the total length median strips (two sides) over 20km. The total value of investment projects over 704 billion VND, of which 15% own capital, 85% loan. The project is expected to be completed and put into operation after 18 months of construction time.
